You are assigned to Firebase Linda, a small but vital Army base in the central Viet Nam Highlands. Todays missions are typical of those you will encounter during your one-year Tour of Duty here.

RESCUE MISSION 4 | DAVID SNOW | DFBHD: TerraNova EXP -- SINGLE PLAYER / COOP

Four Red Cross workers were abducted by rebels and moved to an enemy military compound. Due to the sensitive nature of this abduction, the United Nations has authorized a convoy to move south to this compound and secure it so you can go in and find and rescue these hostages.

Since your last mission here, Rebel troops have re-built a number of positions. They have set up a weapons manufacturing bunker, shipyard, and helicopter staging area. You must go in and take out these positions.

A LONE BOMBER | DAVID SNOW | DFBHD: TerraNova EXP -- SINGLE PLAYER / COOP

After escaping from an Iranian military prison, you and your team commandered an old World War 2 refurbished B-24 Liberator Bomber. This plane has been outfitted with steel plates and two additional engines. It is, therefore exceedingly slow...so slow, in fact, that it hardly seems to move at all. Iranian Air Force planes and choppers have been dispatched to shoot you down. You must shoot all them down first to escape.

You are to be inserted by Black Hawk helicopter at the small village of Nuangu. You will be met by a local member of the alliance. He will lead you to an alliance boat. They will take you downriver to a landing. From there you must find and destroy a small enemy radio station. After the Radio Station is destroyed, the plan is for the boat to take you back to Nuangu for extract by chopper. However, as always, all plans could change during the mission.

It is important during playing this mission that you maintain a lot of patience. You'll find long periods of travel and walking mingled with brief skirmishes and long battles with the enemy. (If you do not enjoy this type of gameplay, I suggest you not play this map.)

It is strongly advised you read the "Read Me First" document that comes with the map. There are special instructions and hints which you will need to know before attempting this map.

Situation: A Cease Fire Zone has been established on the border of two small and warring middle east countries. One country is a member of the United Nations. UN forces, of which you are a member, and Friendly Forces of the UN member country has the directive to man a vital gate which links a major transportation road between the two countries. Civilian refugees on foot and in vehicles are constantly streaming through the gate from the warring side. Each vehicle must be stopped and checked before allowing to proceed. Bands of roaming militia and terrorists are also reported to be in the area and may try to break through the gate. You and your team must stop them while keeping civilian casualities to a minimum.

*** RESCUE MISSION 2 *** | DAVID SNOW | DFBHD: TerraNova EXP -- SINGLE PLAYER / COOP

While on a mission to support American troops in Iraq, a United States Naval F-16 developed a problem with its navigation system and accidentally strayed into Iranian airspace. Iranian anti-aircraft batteries on a remote island there suceeded in shooting this F-16 down. The pilot ejected safely, but was captured by the Iranian Army on the island and is being held in a prison there. U.S. and allied forces have been unable to rescue the pilot due to the anti-aircraft guns. Delta 5-1, you are being flown in by Blackhawk chopper to a US Navy support fleet at anchor about five miles from the island. You are to board a Navy SEAL patrol boat and be inserted on the island. Your main mission is to rescue the captured pilot and move to the exfil point.

Situation:

After a number of attempts by United Nations forces to find and neutralize enemy activity in the area, you, as a lone warrior, are being sent in to sabotage and eliminate the enemy's forces. You will be inserted by truck into a small fishing village. From there, friendly rebels will take you upriver to a dock. You must move into the interior to a village where a friemdly will escort you north by Refugee Bus to the enemy city. More instructions will be given to you when you reach this city.

This is a TWO-PART Mission. Start the mission by loading RATPAK1. When you complete this part of the mission, RATPAK2 will begin automatically.

SUICIDE MISSION TWO | DAVID SNOW | DFBHD: TerraNova EXP -- SINGLE PLAYER / COOP

***Delta Five-One, you are being sent to accompany Convoy Lead north, upcountry to infiltrate a Militia Fortress. Intelligence tells us the local Militia and Rebels have constructed this fortress to service and maintain a large number of military tanks to be used against friendly forces. Intel also says the enemy is using forced civilian labor in this fortress so you will have to check your fire when inside. Your objectives are to eradicate the enemy militia inside the fortress and destroy all tanks in the compound.

The trip to the fortress and back will be very hazardous due to the squadrons of enemy helicopters patrolling the area. If the enemy choppers become too much for your convoy to handle, you may have to call in for aerial support. We have three A-10 Thunderbolts at your disposal.

KAH-THAO-ZAK | DAVID SNOW | DFBHD: TerraNova EXP -- SINGLE PLAYER / COOP

Situation:

Intel has pinpointed the location of a fortified enemy fortress near the small Somalian village of Kah-Thao-Zak. The enemy has established a chopper base there, as well as a illegal drug supply point. Friendly choppers have been unsucessful in their attacks on this fortress due to several radar-controlled Surface-to-Air (SAM) Missile launching stations within the fortress. Our friendly convoy has approached the fortress as close as possible. You are instructed to board a Little Bird for closer insertion. The Little Bird chopper will fly you down river, skimming the river surface so as to avoid detection by the enemy radar. You will jump off the little bird just north of the village and proceed to the fortress. Once there, you must infiltrate the fortress and take out the enemy radar. Then, our convoy and choppers can move in and secure the fort. More goals will be forwarded to you during your mission.

NIGHT MISSION | David Snow | DFBHD: TerraNova EXP -- SINGLE PLAYER / COOP

A radio transmission was intercepted by American CIA operatives in the American Virgin Islands. It seems a large group of terrorists, supported by Iranian military forces, have set up base at an obscure island in the West Indies chain. Reports indicate they have moved in an unknown number of Surface to Air Missiles (SAMs) which they intend to use against American and friendly interests. Your mission is to destroy these SAM missiles. You are to be inserted by an armed patrol boat and make your way inland, locate and eliminate these Surface to Air Missiles. The patrol boat will circle the island to provide cover fire. When the missiles are destroyed, the boat will pick you up at a to be named location. Intel says the island is very heavily guarded and patrolled. Good luck.
