DF Black Hawk Down went gold?
I just saw a poster in software shop the other day stated:

Delta Force: Black Hawk Down - gold edition "comming soon"!!!

I'm not aware of this. I didn't even see anything on the Nova website containing this info ... any of u guys knew anything about this?

Hi Animal!

I can't say I've seen any thing about a "going gold" version of BHD mmaybe it's some thing to do with the number of units BHD has sold?

AFAIK the term "going/goes/went gold" means that the game is finished and ready to be sold. this has nothing to do with a gold edition.

normally a gold edition is a later release of the game which also includes a mission disk in the same package.

but with team sabre postponed i don't think we'll see that soon.

when a game goes gold means that the gold master disk that they use to make all the cd's is at the printers.

i'm pretty sure the master disk is usually made of glass, the "negative" disk to stamp the others is usually made of nickel.

no gold there if you ask me

I read the description on the poster & you're right, it comes with additional mission, sorta like an add on. But theres nothing about team sabre on the poster though.... curioser & curioser.... I think I'm gonna get my cat killed soon.....

or gold can mean "WOW THE COLOR OF THE BOX HAS SOME GOLD COLOR ON IT" lol.. It could mean that alot of DF's in one box. like the series of DF.. WHO KNOWS DONT WORRY ABOUT IT YOUR ALL DRIVING ME CRAZY!

I heard the same thing, that DFBHD is the best selling game. I know it was the #1 selling game just a few weeks ago.
