database help maybe???

im workin on a site for my school marching band... yea, the marching band... dont laugh, im in it... anyway... i was wonderin if there is a way to make a web site, then to have blank pages so you can edit those pages on the internet. so all you have to do is to login to somethin and type what you want to show up on the page... you could even type it in html or somethin...
kinda like a message board except for the posters information, or what ever... hum... i sound confussing... anyway... can someone help me??? PLEASE!!!!

message board could work if you download phpbb from www.phpbb.com and edit the post php file (i think off the top of my head its viewtopic.php) to only show the message and keep the new thread buttons etc..

That way you could also easily have a way to control whats posted with the moderator features.

phpbb is free anyway..

actually i think all you need to edit is the template file (one of the .tpl in /templates/subSilver), ill check when i get home

ok i modified the file how to install

backup the viewtopic_body.tpl file located in /phpBB2/templates/subSilver call it something else

save the attachment and delete the .txt at the end to the extension becomes a .tpl

upload it to the templats/subBsilver direcotry.

hmmmm ok when i view the viewtopic_body i comes up with stuff that i deleted so i think it hasnt been installed....

Ill get back to this i gotta go to "school" now, for now just reupload is all i can think of but make sure it overwrites the one in there if there is one.

i edited all of the header and footer files... so it works... but the copywrite info is still there... i want to get rid of it.... cause i dont want it there... i just want a blank page i guess.. ill move the copywrite somewhere else... just not there... can you tell me how to get rid of it??? http://connerband.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2#2

it's in overall_fotter.tpl in you templates folder

You are allowed to remove it, but they do prefer you to keep it.
