IC servers
I have been trying to get two IC servers running on the same router and can only get port 32768 to run either map. I have changed ports, routers, computers, host login etc. If anyone can help, that would be great!

i find better success to assign each pc on the network their own small range of ports to forward rather than just a single port per machine.
example: server pc 45001-45500 play pc 65001-65500 etc. do this in your router settings and also use the same in your game.cfg for each machine that will have its own range: mpipaddressstring = "0.0.0.0" mpgateserverlocalportmin = "45001" mpgateserverlocalportmax = "45500" mpgateserverlocalportdelta = "1" mpgateserverlocalportrandom = "0" mpnovaworldportmin = "45001" mpnovaworldportmax = "45500" mpnovaworldportdelta = "1" mpnovaworldportrandom = "0" mpnovaworldlanenumsessionportmin = "45001" mpnovaworldlanenumsessionportmax = "45500" mpnovaworldlanenumsessionportdelta = "1" mplanserverportmin = "45001" mplanserverportmax = "45500" mplanserverportdelta = "1" mplanclientportmin = "45001" mplanclientportmax = "45500" mplanclientportdelta = "1" mplanclientportrandom = "0" mplanservertojoinportmin = "45001" mplanservertojoinportmax = "45500" yes, i even do this for lan settings in the game.cfg. just makes everything easier. dont forget, all nova games use UDP protocol. if you get to a point where everything is working but get that dreaded "enumerating session" message, there is something blocking traffic into your server pc. most likely culprit is a firewall setting. at this point, check ALL firewalls. any AV firewalls, windows firewall and windows defender to make sure these ports can allow traffic through them for joint ops. ![]() |

Thank you very much for the help I will try that just as soon as I can. I changed the ports on the sixth line in the game.cfg from 32768 all the way to 32781 on the second machine but still got the dreaded enumerating session.

Ok I tried the directions exactly like you gave them but no one can login. The enumerating session is gone now everyone is getting "your key is not valid (GDC009) and they all have typhoon rising registered on their accounts. I have several game accounts and the same is happening to me as well. I changed the host login to NW several times and the same error. I can login to another server on NW with the one I am trying to host with no problems

ok, lets go with your server is going to be in the nova server lobby here.
in this instance, the server must login first, then you can login to nova on the other pc. as for your clients trying to join a server on the lobby, they can only join if they have a valid login with novalogic and a registered cdkey. beyond that, im not sure. if you run the server through one of the available lan tools, you wont need any login. ![]() |
