New one to me
No matter what I try I cannot add any more objects to a certain map because they just disappear from the game. 411KB file size 600 or 700 Items. I check in the MEd and they are there. Go into the game and they are gone! ![]() Last edited by Guest001; 08-31-2012 at 06:42 AM. |

I can't comment on DFX2 (I don't have the game), but I know that in DFBHD, there is an absolute limit to the number of items you can have entries for in a .mis file, and for some reason, tiles actually counted toward that limit.
According to my notes: Code:
16:06 30.09.2008 ================ MED Item limits In one map, you can have: Buildings and Decorations 1200 Vehicles and Objects 1200 Markers 768 People 256 (including players) Tiles 6144 (minus sum of the above) But no more than: Vehicles 64 Events 255 (I think) |

Thanks fellows...but
I am well under. What happened earlier was some tiles got laid in from BHD. The medpbck1.mis is responsible there, some tiles are lethal in DFX2, I don't know what the good ones are so I don't use them, but they work fine in BHD. Also....... Example I had WP 1.0 Zulu joining to WP 2.0 Alpha (I know it came from the BHD saving to medpbck1 or medpbck2 and then the DFX2 Med picking it up as I open the mission because it's the only map I have a WP Zulu in. (I made program to fix that by deleting them on starting the med but was using the wrong icon) But I can't explain the recent awry events? @Luis They are a bit higher in DFX2 |

All fixed now, once I started deleting the backup files before starting the med, it seems it's definite that different editors access the same save file!?

Stompem, i was making a map the other day and found that when i entered
alot of smoke and fire together it made it so i could walk thru anything and i couldn't pick up anything? |

I'm glad people are still making maps for BHD. I sorta feel like a lone wolf sometimes when I'm making one.

Some on Novaworld say bots are easy to kill, a map full of these guys would be invincible at first.
