Notre Dame student Declan Sullivan tweets of danger before plunging to death

A 20-YEAR-OLD student at the University of Notre Dame in the US offered terrifyingly prophetic Twitter messages just moments before plunging to his death.
Declan Sullivan, a junior, felt unsafe on the camera tower where he was filming practice for the school's famous football team on Wednesday.
Strong winds were blowing when the platform, which stood about 12 metres above ground, collapsed at approximately 4.50pm (local time), WNDU-TV reported.
Sullivan was taken to the Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana, where he later died.
Less than 90 minutes before the fatal fall, Sullivan tweeted his concern about the high winds, according to WNDU-TV.
"Gusts of wind up to 60mph, well today will be fun at work ... I guess I've lived long enough," he wrote
Approximately an hour later -- and less than 30 minutes before his plunge - he tweeted again.
His page on the social messaging site was locked off to viewers by Thursday.
"We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss," said Reverend John Jenkins, the university's president, in a statement on the Notre Dame Official Athletic Site.
"Our hearts go out to the student's family and friends and our prayers and profound sympathies are with them during this incredibly difficult time.
"The loss of someone so young is a terrible shock and a great sadness.
"Our entire community shares in the family's grief."
The school was expected to answer questions at a press conference.
