Guess the map downloads
just checking out some random NovaHQ stats which have been recorded since the last major site recode 5/7/2005, so comming upto 4 1/2 years.
tbh i'm not 100% sure whether the count was reset on the maps or not but take a guess at the number of map downloads that have been recorded. this might not help much but the current number of maps in the database is 7,848. i'll let you know in 2 or 3 days when we reach a certain number ![]() |

We can solve this easily.
First we must add interest to the map database count since it grows daily, today's growth should amount to .2%. 8,000(.002) + 8,000 = 8032 So we will judge at 8032. The average map download I estimate to be 237.3 spread throughout all the games. Thus, we can now calculate the number of downloads by the following formula: DL's = Maps * Average # of DLs per map. Therefore, DL = 8,032 (237.3) = 1905993.6 So my guess = 1,905,994 downloads.

My 103 maps have averaged 488 downloads each...over the course of the new database system.

depends on what maps they are. MP maps get alot less DL's then SP maps. most MP maps get around 200 or 300 downloads and SP maps used to get over 1000 downloads. now they get around 500 or more. seams to have slowed down alot.
