Awesome Mac+Cheese

So... I'm not really that into Mac & Cheese but I always have a box laying around with some hot dogs for when I get lazy.. I'm moving soon so my fridge and freezer are pretty empty and I had nothing to eat.. I had no milk or butter.. but I had a box of mac and cheese, diced canned tomatos and some hot dogs.

I cookied the noodles, added the cheese with water instead of milk+butter, dumped in a can of tomatos and 4 hotdogs. Basically just made it up as I went, trying to clear my pantry.

Holy **** that was some of the best Mac and cheese i've ever had. Made two complete meals. If you ever get a chance you should try it... It sounds disgusting but god damn that was good.

I love mac n cheese - have it 4-5 times a week (been having it at least once a week for over 12 years now ) - But sorry to say, that doesn't sound good at all - tomatos?

I think I'll go make my self a pot for breakfast/lunch - using the traditional recipe of course, though I think I will throw in a hot dog or two... haven't done that in a while.

Well, basically sounds like a variation of a red pasta type sauce, can see why it would work

And heres my interesting thought for the day. A staple of italian cooking is the tomato, whether it be sliced and diced tomatos in salads, a pizza sauce, pasta sauce, in traditional antipastos etc etc.

Tomatoes are a product of the new world, so what did the italians do for flavour in their thousands of years of history before that?

Beans & Sliced Dogs aren't too bad Add a little bbq sauce. I've tried the MacDogs many times. Good for when you are starving.

Killerbee, I've been meaning to order some MRE's for the longest while. I loved those darn things. Carried Ramen noodles and sardines to the Field while training. I prefered the MRE over Chow Hall anyday.
