There's NILE, and MED. MED is the traditional MED that was with pretty much all DF games. NILE is basically a 3d MED - I personally, hate NILE.
You want to edit the stock maps, you mean? It is most likely that the stock maps in JO are .bms - the MED file. Or it could be NILE - not too sure. Anyways, download this: http://www.novahq.net/?show=utilitie...et_file&id=368 It's a BMS2MIS converter for JO/DFX. This will convert the stock maps to an edittable format, which you can edit via the MED. Now, download this: http://www.novahq.net/?show=utilitie...get_file&id=60 Now, use the PFF Extractor to browse through the .pff files, for .bms files. The .bms files have weird names so I've no idea which one is which. Once you've extracted one, whip out the BMS2MIS and convert the map. Once converted, open the MED and open the converted file, then make your changes, then SAVE AND EXPORT. Save the .mis file with the exact same name as before. If you want, then put the new .bms into the .pff file you got it from. BUT, if you're going to put it in your .pff file, by all means do not go into a NovaWorld server - you may get punted. You might even get punted just by logging in. It's a map file so it's extremely unlikely, but still be careful. Just put the map into your game directory instead and it should do the job. Chris
