Is it worth buying combined arms now?

Hi,
I used to own JOTR, but I dropped it for a while because of school. Now, I'd like to get back into it, but am not sure if I want to blow money on it. Basically, are there still people playing it online? I don't want ot buy it and then just play the singleplayer all the time.
