Photoshop CS2

This is just a curiousity question. And don't worry, it ain't that file extension problem - that's fixed.

It's said that when PS is uninstalled, you can choose whether to discard activation info or not. If activation info is discarded, is the CD key discarded as well?

Just want to know.
