yea, im the reason that it be closed, i think i desturbed some of the big men on the totem pole calm or something.

the reson that one would be for controll of information would be their lack of information and their lack of desire to aquire information, and due to the fact that what could be said might go aganst what the propaganda machine has brainwashed them to belive..

i think its time that we step up, for so long we have had the soft approach which the terrorists are exploiting.. time to get the police armed properly, in greater numbers and also getting the army to guard key locations in the UK... after all if the army can help with putting sandbags down during the floods its time they start defending parts of the country that need it

they have the army guarding some locations here in NI, so its not as if its wrong to use the army on ur own soil...

lets just hope they keep fooking up with the bombs

The only way to police people is to hire people from amongst "them", locals. Otherwise one is always considered as an occupier. My two cent.

BABY BOOMER: PROUD PAPA IN BRIT BOMB CELL WAS AN AGENT OF IRAQI QAEDA
By ANDY SOLTIS
AL-MUHAJIR
Terror chief behind plot.
July 4, 2007 -- He looks like the perfect husband and doting father - but Dr. Mohammed Asha was on a secret al Qaeda terror mission in Britain that was carefully plotted years ago in Iraq, intelligence sources claimed yesterday.

New disclosures emerged about the alleged double life of the brilliant 26-year-old neurosurgeon who is a suspected ringleader of the London and Glasgow car-bomb sleeper cell.

Asha, born into a Palestinian family originally from the city of Hebron in the West Bank, was destined for a great medical career, scoring the third-highest mark on the University of Jordan's medical-school entrance exam.

In 2004, he graduated and married his grade-school sweetheart, Marwa Dana, a lab technician.

After getting a visa to continue his career in Britain, Asha seemed to impress everyone he met. In April, he received a standing ovation after making a presentation at the 150th meeting of the prestigious Society of British Neurological Surgeons.

On Saturday, his cover was ripped open after he and his wife were arrested on a British highway by a fleet of police cars in connection with three attempted car bombings.

British intelligence officials said the plot began at least three years ago, when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, then head of al Qaeda in Iraq, ordered a top aide to recruit young men in the Mideast for an overseas mission, CBS News reported.

The recruits were enlisted by Zarqawi's sidekick, Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, in 2004 and 2005, and chosen for their ability to get into Western countries.

As young doctors, Asha and others could take advantage of Britain's eased visa requirements for foreign medical students.

The terror recruits were told to lie low after the 2005 al Qaeda attacks on London's transit system - and after Zarqawi was blown up by U.S. bombs in 2006 and succeeded by Muhajir

How far the doctors' alleged plot extended remains unclear. British officials said yesterday all eight suspects under arrest - including six doctors - were working in Britain's National Health Service hospitals. The Daily Mail reported that up to 12 al Qaeda members had been recruited to work in the hospitals.

Sources told CBS News that two or three more arrests were likely in Britain but that two of the people already in custody may be released.

Among other new developments in the terrifying case:

* A ninth suspect, Dr. Mohammed Asif Ali, was being questioned in Australia after his friend, Dr. Mohammed Haneef, was arrested trying to leave the country for India on a one-way plane ticket.

Both men are believed to have worked at the same hospital in Cheshire, England, as a doctor who was arrested Saturday night in Liverpool.

* Several physicians arrested over the past few days in connection with the plot were in the files of MI5, Britain's intelligence agency, London's Daily Telegraph reports today.

The newspaper did not say which of the doctors were on the list.

But at least one was on a watch list after being identified by security services - meaning his travel in and out of Britain was monitored by immigration officers. The fact that he was "on the radar" was one reason why the investigation has moved so fast since the failed plot unraveled last Friday, when two bomb-laden Mercedes failed to explode in London.

* Officials hinted that more arrests are expected abroad.

"The next phase of investigation is focusing now on the international aspects," a security source said.

At least one British-born official is being hunted, a source said, without disclosing where the search is centered.

* Two men who tried to buy gas canisters - like those used in the car bombs - were arrested in Blackburn in northern England under anti-terrorism laws yesterday.

Police said it was too early to determine if the men were linked to the London car bombs or the fiery crash of an explosives-filled SUV into a Glasgow airport terminal on Saturday.

* The connection between the plots in London and Glasgow became clearer.

Sources told Sky News that the two doctors who rammed their Jeep into the Glasgow air terminal had planted the two Mercedes in central London some 36 hours before.

Bilal Abdulla and a fellow doctor at Royal Alexandra Hospital, identified yesterday as Khalid Ahmed, apparently panicked after the London bombs fizzled and drove to Scotland to carry out a twin suicide bombing.

But that attack also failed. The only casualty of the plot so far is Ahmed, who is being treated at his own hospital in Paisley, Scotland, with burns over 90 percent of this body.

Two other suspects ages 25 and 28, also worked at that hospital,

The latest disclosures indicate the suspected sleeper-cell members were carefully chosen.

They had no known terrorist pasts and apparently eluded detection in the checks of passport credentials and criminal records required by Britain's National Health Service of all doctors in its institutions.

It isn't unusual for Mideast doctors to win jobs in Britain. About 6,000 of the nearly quarter-million physicians registered in the country are from the Mideast, about a third of them from Iraq.

The suspects appeared to be outstanding professionals.

Haneef, the doctor arrested in Brisbane, Australia, "was regarded by the hospital as, in many senses, a model citizen - excellent references and so on," said Queensland Premier Peter Beattie.

Like the others, Asha betrayed no sense of fanaticism, according to people who met him.

"I didn't even have the impression that he was religious," said Azmi Mahafzah, Asha's medical-school instructor from 1998 to 2004.

Intelligence sources said yesterday that Abdulla was a friend of Asha's long before they came to Britain.

They were introduced by their fathers, who were old friends, The Times of London said. Abdulla, a diabetes specialist who was trained in Baghdad, lived for a time in Jordan, where Asha and his wife grew up
