Virtual Stock Exchange

I'm currently taking American Political and Economic Systems this semester and the class has been given the opportunity to participate in a stock exchange simulation. It's really quite fun in my opinion. The website is www.vse.marketwatch.com

If enough people are interested I can set up a private game with a certain money limit and time limit. Whoever ends up with the most money at the end of the time limit (most likely 60 days) wins. Setting up and joining a game is pretty easy...all you have to do is register and I'll give you the game ID and password.

lol. It really isn't that hard to work with. To make a trade just click make a trade...then start typing in the company you wanna invest in. The company's symbol will appear and just click on it.

Sounds interesting. I'll see what other people think of it first.

Alright well if anyone is interested I've already set the game up. To join click "Find a Game to Join" on the left navigation menu.

The Game ID: NovaHQ (case sensative)

The password: novahq

Everyone who joins starts with $100,000
Stocks under $2.00 cannot be purchased
That's about it for rules

To buy a stock click "Make a Trade" and type in the company you are looking for. The company's symbol will show up with the price next to it. Clicking on it will bring a menu to purchase stocks and in what amount. After an order is made you have a 20 minute grace period to rethink or cancel your transaction. To do this click the "Orders" tab while looking at your profile.

To sell a stock click the little "T" next to the company's name.

If anyone has any questions just let me know.

And remember that the stock market doesn't open until Monday.
