another one of my hobbies

this is another one of my hobbies, i like to take old radios and get them to working, this on is my personal favorite, it is an old 60s BUICK Sonomatic AM only radio with delco transistors.

this tthing was out on me garage for years under the window getting rained on and stuff piled on it, wouldnt even wirk when i got it , i took it apart (minding the big wolf spider jumping out of the hole, lol) and cleaned it out replaced some cloth covered wires and cleaned out the rehostats and switches rewired the speaker and power section with some good wire and put speakers and a battery to it and fired it up.

this thing will pick up chicago, tennesee , texas and a lot of other places like ya are sitting next to the tower, i re tuned the coils in it and it makes AM sound like FM, no static only the ocasional clicking of the relays in my neighbors heat pump cutting on.

i still gota clean up the case and put some paint to it because of the rust but it work like a charm.
ill post all of my radios when i can get them all together, lol.

not only do they work, they work quiet well, last nite i was listening to newstalk AM740 in oklahoma from alabama.
listening to mike savage of the savage nation, big time boat rocker(well ship rocker, lol)
ya can also get him on newstalk AM750 WSB in atlanta georgia at 6:00PM in alabama and 7:00PM in georgia, the AM740 station he is on around 9:00PM in alabama.

here is the site for mike savage of the savage nation, i must warn ya, some things on his site can be considered graphic, so if ya are touchy feely and a liberal dont go here.
