Open source Office. I don't like paying for MS crappy office year after year. This is FREE Open Source Office. You can open MS Office Docs, Xls, PPT etc in it. I've used it for two years now and no complaints.

Try it! You'll love it!

OpenOffice came on the drivers CD for the 56k modem I got...

And I never knew you have to pay year after year for Office...

Well, just to make DD happy (), I have used OpenOffice and it was alright. Different from MS Office, but I still prefer MS Office.

Good thing is, OpenOffice is open source.

It's self-explanatory dude...

That means the source legally can be downloaded, etc. and therefore, you can, do whatever you want with it. Does that sound open source to you Erik?

Open Source doesn't necessarily make it a good thing ...Open Source means that if the programmers have any accidental exploits in the code then a hacker can make use with that..

With that being said, that is rarely the case and I'm goign to try out OpenOffice for sure...tho i do like my MS stuff and have never had a problem with it.

Well chris with your "limited" knowledge on, well all things figured I would ask. However, I imagine you probably googled it so...no kudos for your lack luster knowledge.

Dude, why the hell do you make assumptions?

I didn't Google that, the first time I heard the word ''Open Source'' (ages ago) it told a little description about what it meant. And it was on a website about an open source program I was gonna download.

And stop being so damn negative dude. I don't have to hear this ****.

Anyways JonM, you're right about what hackers can do with it. A good thing is though is that you can make your own versions of an Open Source proggy.

Good luck with it dude. It's kinda different than MS Office but you gotta adjust to it I guess.

Chris
