well i tryed out the demo, it is rather repetetive, also made it harder to consentrate with a poor framerate (forgive my 9550) but once i got the hang of it, i learned to switch the weopons of all my teamates and me, order flanking manuevers and such, use vehicles and i actually beat the only coop mission without any help and most of my teamates lived!

okay i didnt beat it, but i did kill everyone that i could find. i just got tired of looking for people and waited at the extraction point waiting for something to happen so i just gave up.

Happens in OFP.

That's what's good about the game. OFP and Armed Assault are non-linear. The game's built extremely well too. So e.g: if you destroy a bridge, it'll never blow the same once, etc.

I haven't played the demo nor this PC will work on it but I think that's why the current Armed Assault reviews give it a 7/8 out of 10; they just can't probably handle realism. Armed Assault is going to be the most realistic game to date. People want realism all the time and hate it Imao.

Same kinda happened to me when I first played OFP but then you actually get used to it. Sometimes realism is enough...

Indeed. I was a bit overwhelmed when i first took command of a 5 man squad in Operation Flashpoint. All these commands! ACK!

Many battles later, I became one hell of a commander (even if i say so myself). I went through the entire campaign and only lost about 11 people all up (heavy casualties suffered during a major skirmish. Russian ambush. It was not very nice)

Hell, I even co-ordinated an attack from over a kilometre away. I had gotten seperated from my team, so i co-ordinated their movements against a small town via the map. Not one person was lost. Many of the defenders inside teh town were killed by my team. It was an awesome day.

So ummm...yeah. Practise makes perfect.
