Smashed Mailbox

I was wondering guys, our mailbox has been smashed about seven or eight times because of these groups of asses that think they're gangsters but they're just wimps inside, what will you do if yours get smashed?

My brother was going to make a concrete steel one and put wood on the outside for a decoy to think it is just plain wood, so when they smash it they would get hurt. Usually they smash it by sliding a pipe halfway out their car window and by the mainbox, when they drive past it, the pipe smashes. If it was a steel one with some wood on the outside for a decoy it may blood their faces but what are the choices?

1. Should we smash their mailboxes whoever smashed ours?
(My brother thinks he knows who)

2. Or buy a strong mailbox?
(It may get rusty if steel and such)

Or something else maybe.

Call police thats what we did when that happened to us.

At least in our area, the police have told us several times to report that kind of activity so that they know what is going on and can keep an eye out..

I wouldn't do it back, like the idea of the stronger mailbox...

Well, sorry for my cussing but, they do it in midnight so we don't know.
I heard that this man uses a microwave for a mailbox and when some guys smashed it they got an electric shock since it was hooked up to an electric fence.
Out here if you call the cops they will gang up on you and they would lie anyway. Cause we had did that before and the cops over here, they're more useless than Chief Wiggum.

lol, do it, i had a freind who did that , they had a few that would throw a piece of chain around the post and take off with it so he took a piece of pipe and sunk it 4ft in the ground and poured it full of concreat and a week later they tried it again and it ripped the bumper off the truck, funny part is they just left the bumper laying there and it had the license plate still on it so he had the evidence and the stupid buggers that did it got fined.
and if they are putting a piece of pipe halfway out the window and that do it again with the reinforced post it will probably kick the pipe at an angle in the car and break the guy holding its arms, but hey who cares if they get hurt itll be their own stupid fault for doing it.
