bs, they shouldnt be doing this because there are groups that are not the IRA but have a similar aim and they still remain active and now the government is scaling it down...... bs, they need to keep them active to make sure they are keeping to their word..

so do i, but i think its bs how they r scaling down the armed forces presence over here, they really do make a huge difference in "hot spots" and it stops people (from both religeons) from developing and causing trouble, theres more than just the IRA over here (they r the main trouble.. thankfully they are disarming) but there are splinter cells of other groups still very much alive.. i think the government is acting to quickly by getting rid of outposts.. because if the politics dont agree the IRA will surely re-activate with force again, and then where are the outposts and watch towers that are so important? .. simple in a heap of scrap.

i just hope they dont scale down too much
