The video takes a while to load but it is defenetly worth a watch. This is why i do not use a chain. I use a U lock that is certified for motorcycles.

I was a bike messenger. And over the years hence, I notice people leaving their bikes, and parts unsecure. Any day of the week you can collect seats and tires that are on quick release mechanisms ready for the taking.
