Any Europeans want to work in India??

India faces worker shortage
Andy McCue, Special to ZDNet,
June 06, 2005

India faces a massive shortage of workers with European language skills over the next five years which could see the country needing to recruit up to 120,000 foreigners.

The language skills deficit is revealed in a new report by research firm Evalueserve, which calculates that no more than 40,000 Indians will have a European language specialization other than English.

pretty ironic. thousands of ppl in the UK have lost jobs because companies like banks have moved call centres to India because the labour is so cheap. now they need to employ ppl outside of india to cope with demand :/

I think I'm going start learning French, German, Polish, Spanish, Gaelic, and one or two more. Don't want to be outsourced

Nope I don't.

Just think like i do, get a education that will last! If the work is outsourced from Sweden they will need me as a productiontechnican

And then when that countrie has becomes a rich country (it will) then Sweden will probebly be a really cheap place, so all work will get back to Sweden where i follow. Unfortently there will be many Unemployed PTs but then those wont have any experice in a long time while i have experience from rest of europe. I have it cut out for me, don't you think?

i think it's wrong, but buisnesses don't care, they want what puts the paycheck on the table and they'll do whatever it takes to keep it bigger...

thats the same here, alot of US companies are moving to Mexico because they labor is cheaper. And to top it off, with the labor being cheaper for them, the prices don't fall one cent.
