Another good Top100

Do think the community could use another good top100? Nova-Inside and NovaHq have the best top sites listing. I think another one would benefit the community as a whole. I'm thinking some of the bigger sites wouldn't be joining until the top100 got popular and the squads and smaller sites needing promotion would benefit. You know, the sites that aren't getting enough hits to be on the list or want to be in the top50 of the 100. Just thinking, wanting some opinions.

i guess you're looking to start one then?
tbh i think the community is too small, there are only a few sites that get over 100 unique hits a day.

a squad one might be more popular, some ppl have mentioned they want a squad only one because they just see the same sites in the top 5 places every time.

having said that, thare is no total community top 100. i mean in terms of english speaking websites, there are 3 main sites DFB, NI, NHQ e.g.:

DFB is only in NHQ top list and doesnt run a top list.
NI was in NHQ top list but cant stand having a link to our site on theirs any more. Now they are in no top list, but do run one.
NHQ has a top list but isn't in one.

so some ppl will like not having major sites in the list. others will think what is the point in the list if the top sites are not there.

i think when were were starting off, it was useful to see if we were progressing in hits. the Novaguild top sites list that was the list to be in. me and panth we so happy to get into the top 10 with DF-HQ.

today though, being in a top list just doesnt seem important :/ we are fairly popular, we know we get a lot of hits so it's not something we need to monitor, running the site is fun and a hobby, it's not a competition

Cool Steve. Thanks for your view and insight on the matter. We were glad to have great sites like yours on the listing.

This community is too small. Nothing compared to what it used to be. I'm wanting to help make it a little bigger.

That is a good idea to make it a squad only listing. I'm gonna have a drink over that one.

The quad only top50 has come up a here few times over the years, but was never substanitally thought out and acted upon (i dont think). I think it could work, but as you know dont expect it to work overnight...

I'm over at NW forums now getting confirmations from 10 squads. If I can get atleast 10 to confirm I'll launch top100 for them. More will come if I get ten don't ya think?

As long as it's not 10 no-name squads (the uber 1337 axe throwing noob killers come to mind ), you should be off to a good start

I'm not getting any feedback but from a couple squads at NW. This idea may not fly.
