Time setting

I'm looking at the time stamp on my last post and it shows 12:33am. Now, here in Carson City it's 6:13am. I understand times are in GMT, but the minutes should be the same shouldn't they? What's up with that ?

go here http://www.novahq.net/forum/member.p...on=editoptions and change the time offset to your timezone. It still may not be the exact time, somwthing to do with the server location and GMT i think. Daylight savings can confuse things even more.

And the minutes may not be the same, here in Adelaide Australia were +9.5 hours, only if your + or - a particular hour would the minutes be the same.

Thanks for the tip, Mike. I checked out my settings and I already have it set to Pacifit time (which is what time zone I'm in). But I see that my minutes are just about 30 off so your remark about .5 hour differences makes sense. And it really doesn't matter what time I get stamped on my messages - I was just curious as to what was happening.

This site shows "All times are GMT. The time now is 10:50 AM" but it is actually 16.29 here in the UK.

The time has never been correct even though my user is set to GMT.
