'Hobbit' joins human family tree

Scientists have discovered a new and tiny species of human that lived in Indonesia at the same time our own ancestors were colonising the world. The three-foot (one-metre) tall species - dubbed "the Hobbit" - lived on Flores island until at least 12,000 years ago.

glad to see us UK natives are on top of the news lol,

Yea saw it at like 3 am and i thought BBC was playing a joke on the news....but wow this "hobbit" rewrites evolution

remarkable find, odd thing is that there are so many islands in indonesia thats untouched they could reasonabely still be living and we woud not have a clue...
