Your DFLW Elevation Problem is fixed...
This was completed a month or so ago and I'm sorry for not posting it sooner. You will no longer have problems building those elaborate maps where you have to GUESS at Z Values, instead using this modified editor, you can actually SEE where you are putting the items and place them correctly!
Here's a repost from another forum: This other MED is a modification to the Comanche 4 MED, it has limitations but it does have a neat 3d Wire Frame Window that you can use to work on your maps. Here's the link to the C4 MED (IT MUST BE INSTALLED IN IT'S OWN FOLDER - DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DFLW FOLDER OR IT WILL NOT WORK!): C4 MED Make SURE that you read the included text file to understand how to use it. You must FIRST convert the DFLW mis file to C4 and then use the editor and then convert it BACK to DFLW. And here is how do use the command keys and what they do: Controls to move highlited items only in the 3d window: Control + Left Mouse Button: Move shown area left/right Control + Right Mouse Button: Rotate left/right/up/down Control + Left/Right Arrow Keys: Move forward/back/left/right Shift + Left Mouse Button: Unknown Shift + Right Mouse Button: Zoom in/out Shift + Up/Down Arrow Keys: Move up/down in large incriments Shift + Left/Right Arrow Keys: Rotate left/right small incriments Control + Shift + Up/Down Arrow Keys: Move up/down small incriments Control + Shift + Left/Right Arrow Keys: Rotate left/right large incriments Tab + All Arrow Keys: ??? Can't figure this one out... NOTE: This list is not complete as I have not had time to continue searching the key controls! And here are the screen shots (taken from Comanche 4 - note that the items you see are NOT!!! included, they are a part of Comanche 4 only): In the comanche 4 editor it has a window like this: Which allowed me to place the top half of the crane in it's proper position without the guess work of the Z values. The dock, in the non 3d window, looked like this: And then the completed dock turned out like this: Now please note that this is screen shots from Comanche 4 and these items are NOT available in the modified editor.

Eh.. ok I guess LOL
Sorry I haven't been back in a while, lost my link to here and just found it this morning.. DUH! Servant has gotten me onto a new type of map making - A/D CQB maps - similar to TDM CQB that DFA hosts now and then. It's an interesting idea, close in enemy spawns, hard fighting area, I've not seen many maps like this at all. Oh.. how you like my new Sig Banner? ::gloating::
