Vista Themes

Hey,

What is the best program to use to put Windows Vista themes on the XP Os? I have seen a few but they all appear to suck.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

grab UXTheme_Multi_Patcher_4.0.zip from: http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=308905

you can then download and use any XP Visual Styles you find on the net.

best of the best can be found here (including vista-alikes): http://browse.deviantart.com/customi...=9&alltime=yes

I've got a Vista theme which is a direct port from Vista but MS banned it from pretty much most sites on the net - but I have it lol.

Other programs like WindowBlinds and stuff can also give you Vista themes, but I'd go what Steve said.

The problem is how to use it. I opened it and all it did was restart the computer.

Okay, once you have your .dll patched, any .msstyle (or whatever they're called) skins must BE in this folder:

%\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes <-- Copy the theme folder into the Themes folder.

"%" is whatever's before the WINDOWS folder.

Then right-click your desktop, go to "Properties" > "Appearance" > and I think you know what to do from there...

it's just a patched .dll file that allows you to add new visual styles to XP rather than it only allowing the default themes (blue green silver), just download some other themes and you can just double click them to activate, or put 'em in the file that chris said.
