I'm not knocking Steam as a service as I am sure that it ads value and being able to download a game is very convenient but you just don't own anything with Steam. There is no guarantee that I will be able to pick up and play MW2 12 years from now, like I can DF1.

Digital distribution still sucks in places like NZ because there's no good affordable broadband anywhere... A lot of people still need to deal with really bad data caps.
