No layers?
Anyway, for starters I've seen where AI don't like waypoints to meet in one place, in DFX2 I couldn't get AI to cross a bridge because all the waypoints were too close together and intersected at one point |

Have to deal with the Grandson for a while but still getting back to the map when I can escape him.
Don't give up, (stompem never gives up) keep the map until you know more and come back to it. Learn to Use layers they will come in handy when your maps get more complex. Layer1 top floor or 1st, 2nd floor etc Layer2 Stairwell1 etc Layer3 2nd floor furniture etc Also helps when you return to a map and have forgotten placements, professional map makers would be unable to map efficiently without them, trust me you will like them when you are used to them.... have to go out for an hour, I will check in here for an update to the situation and continue on if necessary. |

I've got them to go downstairs if that's what you wanted.

Sorry again,
but i got more problems than i expected lol. My bin file for my map is not working. The MED (unlocked 2.05c), when i try to open the map, says "Unable to load bin file" and blablabla. But i checked the bin file (with BIN2TXT tool) and it is exact the same as my other maps. Here's it: Quote:

I have never got a bin working in BHD but did you run the game anyway to test, editor should show changed conditions in win and lose section
here is a DFX2 Bin Quote:

So far so good
I opened it with the original editor and looks fine, your 3 win and 3 lose conditions are there |

Now I can open it in 205c and it works as well

But as before it don't work in the game, saved it with 205c.
maybe it has to be inside the pff, here's one, looks different,'[Triggered Text]' read carefully, I have to sleep now Quote:

Maybe something like this but it sounds like it's triggered by WAC or by Editor Events

I'm going to investigate the Text Tool and see what sort of BIN or whatever file it creates
|

I think you need to change this:
Good luck 5-1"; to this: Good luck 5-1 "; Maybe... |

Interesting, The BIN in BHD needs to be packed, not so for later games.

Luis don't forget to add Show Win Subgoal 1 etc... in the event editor so the player can display them
|

Did all that no go. Made a drag and drop pff, no go shows up but don't seem to work, Text tool? something missing as far as I can tell. BinEditor works ok from scratch with later games.
Pity I've not picked up this thing longer ago, might of been more help. But please keep me informed, I'll help if I can. PS Layers |

Yes i created this bin file with TEXT TOOL.
But there's something strange. In-game the i can see the briefing, the name of the map is without .bms, i added an name for an waypoint (Alpha) and in game it shows as 'Target Building', the same as the bin. But in the med it doesn't read it, so i cant see the goals and lose cond. Baldo, i'll try to change that. Thank you.

So I don't know, but I suspect your 5c installation is corrupted or something, Luis. And I learned something new. If you do not add a briefing2, the G-key will display the briefing! I did not know that was true! When I make mission .bins, this is a good template: Code:
'[Info]' Title = "INSERT TITLE HERE"; briefing = "INSERT BRIEFING HERE"; briefing2 = "<cfc8932bu>INSERT G-KEY BRIEFING HERE<-cbuo> <cff0000>Red text.<-co> <cffff00>Yellow text.<-co> <c00ff00>Green text.<-co> <c00ffff>Cyan text.<-co> <c0000ff>Blue text.<-co> <cff00ff>Violet text.<-co> <b>Bold text.<-bo> <u>Underlined text.<-uo> <i>Italic text.<-io> "; '[WinConditions]' STRWINCOND000 = "null"; STRWINDIRECTIVE000 = "null"; STRWINMSG000 = "null"; STRWINCOND001 = "DISPLAYS IN MED AND GOALS LIST IN GAME"; STRWINDIRECTIVE001 = "DISPLAYS IN CHAT TO INSTRUCT PLAYER"; STRWINMSG001 = "DISPLAYS IN CHAT WHEN GOAL IS ACHIEVED"; STRWINCOND002 = "null"; STRWINDIRECTIVE002 = "null"; STRWINMSG002 = "null"; STRWINCOND003 = "null"; STRWINDIRECTIVE003 = "null"; STRWINMSG003 = "null"; STRWINCOND004 = "null"; STRWINDIRECTIVE004 = "null"; STRWINMSG004 = "null"; STRWINCOND005 = "null"; STRWINDIRECTIVE005 = "null"; STRWINMSG005 = "null"; STRWINCOND006 = "null"; STRWINDIRECTIVE006 = "null"; STRWINMSG006 = "null"; STRWINCOND007 = "null"; STRWINDIRECTIVE007 = "null"; STRWINMSG007 = "null"; STRWINCOND008 = "null"; STRWINDIRECTIVE008 = "null"; STRWINMSG008 = "null"; '[LoseConditions]' STRLOSECOND000 = "null"; STRLOSEDIRECTIVE000 = "null"; STRLOSEMSG000 = "null"; STRLOSECOND001 = "DISPLAYS ONLY IN MED"; STRLOSEDIRECTIVE001 = "DISPLAYS IN CHAT TO TELL PLAYER TO NOT DO THIS"; STRLOSEMSG001 = "DISPLAYS IN POST-MISSION DEBRIEFING IF THIS FAILS THE MISSION"; STRLOSECOND002 = "null"; STRLOSEDIRECTIVE002 = "null"; STRLOSEMSG002 = "null"; STRLOSECOND003 = "null"; STRLOSEDIRECTIVE003 = "null"; STRLOSEMSG003 = "null"; STRLOSECOND004 = "null"; STRLOSEDIRECTIVE004 = "null"; STRLOSEMSG004 = "null"; STRLOSECOND005 = "null"; STRLOSEDIRECTIVE005 = "null"; STRLOSEMSG005 = "null"; STRLOSECOND006 = "null"; STRLOSEDIRECTIVE006 = "null"; STRLOSEMSG006 = "null"; STRLOSECOND007 = "null"; STRLOSEDIRECTIVE007 = "null"; STRLOSEMSG007 = "null"; STRLOSECOND008 = "null"; STRLOSEDIRECTIVE008 = "null"; STRLOSEMSG008 = "null"; '[WPNames]' STRWPNAME000 = "Unnamed"; STRWPNAME001 = "Alpha"; STRWPNAME002 = "Bravo"; STRWPNAME003 = "Charlie"; STRWPNAME004 = "Delta"; STRWPNAME005 = "Echo"; STRWPNAME006 = "Foxtrot"; STRWPNAME007 = "Golf"; STRWPNAME008 = "Hotel"; STRWPNAME009 = "India"; STRWPNAME010 = "Juliet"; STRWPNAME011 = "Kilo"; STRWPNAME012 = "Lima"; STRWPNAME013 = "Mike"; STRWPNAME014 = "November"; STRWPNAME015 = "Oscar"; STRWPNAME016 = "Papa"; STRWPNAME017 = "Quebec"; STRWPNAME018 = "Romeo"; STRWPNAME019 = "Sierra"; STRWPNAME020 = "Tango"; STRWPNAME021 = "Uniform"; STRWPNAME022 = "Victor"; STRWPNAME023 = "Whiskey"; STRWPNAME024 = "X-ray"; STRWPNAME025 = "Yankee"; STRWPNAME026 = "Zulu"; STRWPNAME027 = "Able"; STRWPNAME028 = "Baker"; STRWPNAME029 = "Cancer"; STRWPNAME030 = "Dog"; STRWPNAME031 = "Easy"; Last edited by Baldo_the_Don; 09-10-2012 at 10:56 AM.
