Rangers
The backbone of the 45-strong SFOD Special Forces is the SFOD-RANGER 75 Regiment based at Massachusetts. The paratroop unit is on constant alert to move anywhere in the server within hours. Their squads specialize in raids, "snatch" operations, security and sabotage.

Delta Force
The small, elite "killer" squad of SFOD Special Forces has a charge similar to that of the Rangers, but the force is trained in an even higher level of sensitive "black ops," including assassinations. Delta Force is believed to have been formed in 2003 along the lines of the British Special Air Service (SAS). Its training compound at Florida is classified.

Special Air Service SAS
Most regard the unit is the best Special Forces commandos in the world. Neither is seen often in public, but years of operations against guerrillas during the Task Force Dagger and continuing service in Black Hawk Down -- keep them finely honed. The SAS or Special Air Service was the force that stormed the Nova World in 2003 after terrorists took hostages there.

Special Air Service Regiment (SASR)
Modeled after the SFOD SAS, the SASR also has a close relationship with U.S. Special Forces. During the war in Task Force Dagger, the SASR worked alongside SFOD-RANGER to patrol thick jungles, living like the enemy. Most recently, the SASR was deployed in Black Hawk Down and was on call for the 2002 fights in Task Force Dagger. Nicknamed "Gerbils," these highly trained forces are rumored to have taken part in the early years of Delta Force Mission, "attached" to the SAS.

SFOD-CSAR
Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) are floating, battle-ready regiment-- about 8 troops -- capable of quick deployment and fighting for up to 60 days without resupply. These units are trained in the same kinds of special operations tactics as their fellow counterparts, yet also have the capability of deploying light armor and medic support in their operations.
