Well I finally got Fiber optic internet a week or so ago... they were shutting down the dsl coper line...wow what a diff....500MBSinsteadof so called 3MBS which i never got more than 470KBS on any download with the DSL....
the last major Call of duty update was 107GB and on DSL it took4.5 Days non stop to download....the fiber will save me money on electricity as my main computer has a 1800 watt PS in it....if i want to save more money I ave a mini pc and a KVM switch so i can use the mini pc to surf the internet i replaced the 128gb ssd int the mini pc with a 2 TB ssd and spent 44 dollars on software to copy the os on the 128gb ssd to the 2TB ssd and that worked great.....
just backed up all my files on a 20TBHDD and put the lates w11 on it that went well too.... my big pc is aamd thread ripper 18 core processor on a X399 mobo with TPM 2.0....cost of cpu and mobo $1500.00 times 2 as when i bult it the TPM version was 1.0 whatever after 6 months w10 started rejecting windows updates thats when microsheet changed hardware requirments and i had to replace the mobo and cpu another $1500 bucks....pppppppt...

5ish years ago I moved from an area that only had 7/10MB DSL to my place now which has 1Gb up/down fiber.... Huge difference. Never again will I move to a place thinking I can deal with slow internet
