I was not crazy about photoshop myself, took me 12 minutes to find the option to change color depth lol.
PS is more popular bud so it is harder to find plugins to do the things for you, so you have to basically spend some time to learn what all the effects(like 20 total lol) do and how you can get them to work for you.
