the price is ridiculously insane
the extra ram don't cost that much
and the clocks are not much faster
than normal...and the cost of designing
and manufacturing the pc board is no more
than any other card...if I power one on it
better fly around the room...

Just did the sums - According to the rough specs: 2 cards in SLI flat out could leave just enough power for the system and accessories on a 240V/10Amp supply without blowing the fuse. (are your fuses 20 amp? 120V x 20A?)

How can that be?
Minimum 42A @ 12V x 2 = 1.08KW

Loss at the transformer = 10%

Looking at a Minimum power peak of 1.1KW

About 5-6A at the power point?

Australia:

2400W max at the power point

240v 50Hz (10A fuse)
