News Reader Wanted....:)

Ok I have been thinking of new ideas for my site which will be going through changes.I want someone who has some free time to spare to create news wave files for the df series.Which I will then lipsinc to my 3D news desk News reader.If anyone wants to try please let me know on this forum or in the forum on my site.Here is a demo of What It will be like But it is an early version there will be a news desk set ect in the finished site

Thats a bloody fine idea but I have been to your site before and I am getting the same problems as before with the text not fitting where you have designed them to be.

I am also getting errors on both the broadband and 56k pages and subsequently the wmp is not working.

I love your intro Cool Stuff m8 pitty I cant seem to get the hang of flash I would use it instead of wmp.

OK i worked out why you dont get the text in right place it is the font your browser is using I remember after upgrading to win XP i had to change the font and it solved the prob And Im getting the hang of flash now try my latest link

And if that is an offer to try making the wave files thnx.If you can, make one up it can be your own work or just read from the nova web site.It wont be like the whole thing in one go i will put links to different news items that way as new news comes out I only have to render a new file instead of people having to listen to the same over again to get to the new stuff.As I do like what you have done for your intro.

If you have msn I can get the files of you through there or ill set up an ftp site.

ok lol updated it again still not sure on the news reader though I may change him.Just so you know that small movie took an hour to render But I like the result.I may Do a text news for 56kers as it may take too long to load as its past 3am i have no one on msn to find out how long it takes to load on 56k.

My Browser uses the font it is asked to by the website.
Have you tried using CSS to tell the browser what size and font type you want it to use?

Also if you do use this method you need to test your site in different resolutions and different borwsers and if you can different computers.

There are ways and means of making a site for all platforms but this testing is especialy important in a sexy layout like yours.

Well I am now re-building the site using flash but only basic as I still dont know how to use it properly So hopefully you will be able to view it ive added a link to the new site here not much done yet took me 2 hours to render my intro which only plays for just over 3 secs lmao.But I am messing with flash as I go along Im trying to add sound to a frame in flash but Cant find where to do it yet.Anyway take a look the demo of the news reader is on there if you click on the news button ok back to work on it here's the link

I made one intro to test watched it in preview and that was it transfer limit hit lmao so no probs now I HOPE lol.
