I've cleared my cache and cookies and the theme keeps switching to default when I go to the main page of the forum.

before you log-in go to bottom of the forum and select the theme you like to use then log-in!

it work on main page as will forum pages, after you log-in and reset the cookie for the main page you be good to go like the forum pages.
