The project is still there and is called:

BARNHEMMET.SE

There's thirteen kids living on Barnhemmet (the Orpahange).

They all lived on the streets

Yonas:

"I was living with my parents."

"My mother was very ill."

"She coughed alot."

"She died on a saturday, and was buried on a sunday."

"So I took my little brother with me and came here."


Mattias:

"It's a cool bunch of kids, it's hard to grasp that they have it as hard as they have."

"You just have to realise that none of these kids have parents, they live under terrible contditions. They live on the streets, some live under a very temporary rainshelter."

"Now it seems as we might be able to offer them to live a little better, with a little more supervision."


Johnnie:

"My commitment can't stop here, I have after all kind of started this.

"The children must have food, they must have whole cloths, they must have school uniforms. They must afford school materials, they must have the best conditions a child in Ethiopia can have."

I try to give atleast $250 a few times a year, feels good even if it's a small amount considering how rich I really am. I do have a good job, I have an apartment, I have computer, Internet, telepone's, a car and so on. They had nothing besides the cloths they had on them, no food no nothing. They had to beg and work hard to just have a little bit to eat so they could survive. Thankfully they have it better now
