Any golfers in the house?

I'm looking for set of clubs.

Recommendations are appreciated.

P.S. Found a new hobby to spend some time with.

Yeah I golf alot.. My fav irons so far are the Taylor Made r540 steel shaft and the TM r580 driver with a stiff graphite shaft... If you are good you can look for a set of blade irons, but they are not forgiving at all. I usually use cavity back irons.

They are pretty cheap now days, i got my iron set new for $350 last year and the driver slightly used for $100 on ebay.

If you walk alot like I do then you'll want to invest in a nice bag or wheel cart. I just went with a nice light bag with dual straps and carry it. Good workout and won't kill the shoulders...

Don't get sucked into the technology hype .. i played just as good with wal-mart irons as I do with the taylor made ones.. ebay is a great place for name brand golf clubs.

i love golf and have been playing since i was really young but i don't get to play much anymore. i play with a set of old 99 nike blades and love them but like scott says they are not forgiving at all. my suggestion is to go to a local pro shop and rent a bunch clubs you like and play around a bit to findout what you play well with. tbh everyone plays different with clubs. my father makes clubs and sets for a hobby u might what to look into custom clubs they are cheaper and ive found them just as good if not better than brand name. but once again its all in what you feel good hitting.

there is a few things you need to look into for irons.
the flex of the iron shaft
the style of iron head
how much you are willing to pay
and get something you think looks good because later if you don't like the look your gonna be looking for a new set of clubs i promise.
and grip style there are alot of different types of grips out there find the right one for you.

ive played for a long time but i still sux i don't understand it lmao.

I'd probably take the irons, but you'll probably want to replace the bag and drivers.

Like I said I played with wal-mart irons for years.. I had to replace them only because they were chipped up badly... The taylor mades made no real difference other then they look alot better.

I've got a mixed set...Yonex woods, BlackJack irons, some freaky Black Hole putter, and I don't know about the wedges. Usually shoot low 100's, high 90's. Haven't broken 90 yet, waiting on this summer to try.
Also, I've come close to being hit with (and hitting people with) golf balls.

I.E. I STINK!

Thanks,
