Hardware: Video capture: Turtle Beach VideoAdvantage PCI card.

Software: WinAmp with a plug-in to watch Tv on my system, using my Video capture.

i do watch Tv on my computer and record them as will

now like to know how many of you all watch Tv-channels on your computer or laptop

you ether have software or hardware PCI card

1.) Internet Tv-chennels Software
watch live Tv programs high speed connection

2.) Video Capture PCI card

3.) Tv-Pci or USB unit to watch Tv on your system.

by the way there are 4 ways to watch Tv programs on your system.
1.) internet Tv program software
(need highspeed connection for this)

2.) Video capture unit PCI card

hookup to it Camcorder/VCR/Cable box or other types as will connections to plug-in to it. USB, 1394 plug-in, Mic-input,Video-in, L/R audeo input & stero, S-video-in

3.) Tv-capture PCI card VCR/Cable box, S-video type connections

4.) Tv-capture unit USB ouside the tower. VCR/Cable/S-Video in, connections types

i love watching movies on my monitor, as will record things like news flash then e-mail them to my family. if i seen something they like to see like 911 and other things as will.

I just have a tv-tuner card.

I believe it is different the a video capture card... At least I never heard of a tv-tuner card being called a video capture card.

I forget the manufacture of it. But it can record tv shows, even schedule when to do the recording.


But for the most part the tv shows I watch, I watch online. (numb3rs, jericho, NCIS, CSI - watch each weeks episode @ cbs.com/innertube)

Tv-card and Video capture cards are not the same at all.

1.) a Tv-Card or Tv-USB units has a build in Tv-tuner chip in them were you can flip to other channels.

2.) a Video Capture card PCI don't come with a Tv-Tuner chip to them. they only read direct feed in to them.

were as in using a Cable box, Tv-dish, VCR to change channels with to watch Tv-channels
