Nvidia driver updates & game problems

Well, let me start from the beginning. After i had my brand spanking new Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 installed, i got my hands on some wicked new games. UT2004, Operation Flashpoint, BHD, Battlefield just to name a few. However, i am having some very disrupting problems with Operation Flashpoint. Ever since it was first installed, it continuously froze at a random point during the game. Usually, after 30 seconds, the game continued. Then sometimes after that, it froze again but never continued, resulting in ALT+F4 or a shut down. I managed to stop the second freeze for a while by changing the refresh rate to different numbers before putting it back to its normal point. But after a while, the computer got the better of me and now its freezing more than ever. Sometimes it doesnt freeze until 20 mins into the game, sometimes it freezes not even 3 minutes past the main menu. This is HIGHLY annoying. All other games work fine, its only Operation Flashpoint that this happens. But i have noticed that it freezes commonly during night missions. I have come to the point where i have no idea how to stop this infuriating problem.

Now onto number 2. I have looked around on the net for a solution and found out that updating the vid card would often solve the freezing. But i have no idea what my version is and what version i should be looking for. My system specs are:

1600 Mhz processor (AMD Duron)
The gfx card as mentioned
1GB RAM
anything else i dont remember....

Sorry to babble on, but i had to give enough info for an accurate solution.

will first off go to the Nvidia and download the new driver fot your window OS they have many listed up.

if you can Start>control panel> open display> uptop click-on> settings tab> advanced> look around there till you see drivers version most case the driver last four number will tell what version your is.

don't know you using 32bit or a 64bit only you know that?

match up the right drivers for your system

Windows type and & 32bit or 64bit

your video card is basic a geforce card so you need "Graphic drivers" for it updated version.

i did find this

link: http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

click-on> Multimedia software> WMD Driver> Geforce Fx

basic>
Release Notes:

* This driver only supports GeForce2 through GeForce FX products with a TV Tuner or video capture input
* If you are using a Personal Cinema or GeForce product with a TV tuner, download the "VIVO and TV" driver
* If you are using a VIVO (video in and out) enabled GeForce products, download the "VIVO" driver

NOTE: This WDM driver kit must be used with the latest ForceWare Graphics driver for GeForce GPUs. Please install that driver first before installing this WDM driver.

so there are two parts to this if you using a "Tv tuner card" if not pass this totally. not needed
