First Visual Basic Program!!

I have created my first actual computer program.. I learned so much just from trial and error. The program idea was not mine, it was my instructors. But I think I overdid what he wanted by a long shot.

So yeah i'm looking for people to test it on there computers and see if it works correctly.

Please read before downloading..

I am a newbie vb guy, if it crashes your computer I cannot be held liable. (Tested on 5 computers and works fine). Just covering my ass.

After you download the program, run lilboutique.exe, if you get errors run register.cmd so it can register the files it needs to run on your computer. This is not harmfull and will not overwrite or delete anything.

When you first run the program, it's going to ask you to select a database. When the window pops up it's the only file you see so that's the one. When it asks if there is a database password you MUST click yes and enter in "dbpassword" without the quotes. If you get an error that sais invalid password, you will have to go into the working directory and delete the file "dbsettings.dat" and start over.

Next you will setup an admin password for the program, enter anything you want and click set password.

To get the full effect of the program exit it and restart it again. Enter the password you set and your off.

Simple program that can track inventory.

download it here:

cool, what version of visual basic are you using?

It looks good

Trial and error is how I learned all my programing skills (such as they are), plus looking at examples.

Got a question for you... how do I check for runtime errors within the program? I have searched and searched but all I get is people getting runtime errors, not how to check for them within the program...

I would really like that for the database checking.
