right now my Windows Xp home see my 300GB as 127GB so it is limited till i get a new item to correct this.

new PCI-Card controller> reason for it BOIS is too old no updates for that one. try already

I have a 80 GB hd on my laptop ... only 6GB is empty.

I've two desktops also with 80 GH HDD each has about 10GB empty.

Plus I have over 2500 regular CD Backup and 100 DVD CD Backup.

mmmm that's lot of files

To those who are getting the number of files based on the virus scanner, keep in mind that the virus scanner counts files inside of compresse files.

To get a more accurate count go to your root drive (ie, c:\) and go up to Edit -> Select all. Then right click and choose properties. Becarefull not to choose "Cut" or "Delete"

After a while you will get the file count.

mine:

On C:
121,383 files, 10,690 folders

On D:
63, 671 files, 5, 663 folders

For a grand total of:

185,054 files and 16,353 files
