Preferences deletion?

This unfortunately has happened to me twice and I had a full copy of my directory around so it wasn't an issue. Except now I don't have that luxury anymore and thus these things were lost:

Audio/Video settings
Key remap settings
Completed missions
Highscores for missions

Does anyone know where these preferences are contained so that I can make backups for the future?

These are the filenames that I have tried:
player.sav
weapon.sav
nw_cdata.coo
hiscore.txt (I know what that one is)
ghw.txt (Also no-brainer)
game.cfg
admin_log.txt
novaftp.log
admin.cfg (no brainer)


Does anyone have any idea where these preferences are hiding? They do seem to be related (the user prefs and maps completed) as when one goes the other goes. I'm just highly annoyed; all I did was update the game and *poof* all gone.

is the asker to read what it has use NotePad to read whats in it.

I've gone through the game.cfg file yet it doesn't contain any pertinent information about the key mappings. Regardless, I've copied over an old version of my game.cfg file and it doesn't restore my custom keyboard mappings.

The files I listed above I have tried to copy over in order to retain my custom keyboard mappings yet it does not work.

I *could* redo my key mappings, but I don't particularly want to. Plus having to go through all of the missions again.
