again, network problems..

ok well, i have to eithernet ports, i swapped them about because one of them seemed to be slower than the other, i have another PC that is connected through this one, but i cant get the card (its an Nvidia card) to pick it up, (no lights and it says its unplugged, but it isnt..) i put the other cable in and it worked fine

any ideas? because i depend on my 2nd pc.. lol

sounds like the cable is bad...

are you sure you are not using Cross over cable?
to find out just read the outside of the cable and make sure it dont say cross over anywhere...

pc to pc shoudl use a crossover cable
pc to hub/switch/router use patch cable


do both cards show in hardware manager?

Definitely check the device manager. You may have to enable one or both in the BIOS.

yes both the cards work fine, if i swap the way the internet goes in and out it just wont work..

so internet into eithernet 1, out eithernet 2 that works..

then internet into eithernet 2, out eithernet 1, that doesnt light doesnt even come on and says its unplugged.

sounds like your network card is going bad, or maybe spyware or adaware sucking up speed, happened to my other computer, ran three scans with different programs and it went back to normal.
