Confused Shellshock: Nam'67 PS2

I went out and hired this game the other day. First time I've ever seen the game. Played it. OK graphics. For those who have played Killzone, you'll quickly recognize the explosions, the ragdoll effects and the cutscenes. But as you get further and further into the game, things change.

I've played other Vietnam style games but Shellshock is pretty damn full on.

I soon began to understand everything. Understand how the veterans feel. Last nigh twhen I finished the game I started going through flashbacks of the game (I finished it in 3 hours on medium) I started to feel sick in the guts just remembering one certain cutscene when your crazy friend takes an RPG in the stomach. He goes on and his final words were 'I'd do it for you' before he explodes, showering blood all over the place. I literally just froze on the spot while a bunch of VC shot at me.

That wasnt all. At times you might be lucky enough to blow apart someones head. Their head explodes, throwing pinkish stuff into the air before their body rolles onto the ground. You can tear off their arms and legs and any other body part that is unlucky enough to get in the way. Or you can just blow them to bits with a grenade or RPG.

Going through that game was like really going through Vietnam. Battlefield Vietnam and Vietcong are soft compared to this game. After the game I felt dazed. I felt wierd. I felt... Shellshocked.

This is definately not a game for young ones. If you've ever tried to imagine what it would have been like in the steamy jungles with traps and flies and ambushes...get this game.
