I need help...getting too old
Do you find you just can't remember how to do certain things? I do, and it's driving me nuts!!! I need to make an address book in word so I can print off tons of labels but with each different address. Anyone remember how to do that? I can't even find it on Google
![]() I'm going to need a cane after while...then my hair will go grey...argh. |

Start word up> Press F1> in search box type in Labels> see listed
1.) shipping labels (with illustration; works with avery 5164, 5264, 8164, and 8254 or use: 2.) basic shipping labels (with illustration; works with avery 5164, 5264, 8164, and 8254) ether one should do it for you. next step you can edited the text in the address field then save it for later use if you need to print it up on letters as send to: click-on the highlited blue wording to pick the template you like to use and all so you can get others template from: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/te...s/default.aspx

![]() Well it's just so easy...any fool could walk in and get office certified...granted I knew more then, but I've been exiled to the land of troubleshooting computers...I type instructions and letters in word, and that's it. This is the first time I've needed to use its mass mailing capabilities, though I have done it for the sake of doing it. It's like DOS. I few years ago, I could pilot DOS like a pro. Now, show me a command prompt, and it takes me a couple seconds to figure out just how I'm going to do something. EDIT: I just realized that was over 10 years ago ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() I like Office Xp better than Office 2003. I wonder if they are going to release a new office with Longhorn.

Probably. I haven't tried 2003. XP works good enough

I just hate how they make programs so dependant on the web. What is going to happen when the program is old and the pages have been moved?
I also hate how power point for 2003 is set up. I it is much more limiting than Xp.

Yeah, no kidding. Even the downloads. They have downloads for stuff (eg DirectX), and it's like prefetch. You have to connect (again) and let it download the actual files. Drives me insane!
I like to keep a collection of updates and downloads like that because I use them so much, it's just easier to pop in a cd and have things like WMP 9 or 10, XP SP2, IE, etc...especially if I'm in a hurry, and I can't wait for their awful download rates, plus all the spyware I get from their site... |
