THAT IS SICK. If you have lice you should be shot...unless you are someone that just is stuck next to someone else that has it. I mean come on how hard is it to take a freaking shower.

showering wont help as lice dont discriminate with regard to personal hygene. The companys right to spray cubicle walls, its best to knock it on the head before it spreads too much.

In a way it is linked to bad hygene. Because people that have good hygene would notice it and get rid of it ASAP.

Even if the culprit did notice it straight away (which is unlikely, lice tend not to be noticed until after they have laid eggs which makes it harder to get rid of - even less unlikely if the carrier has dndruff) and got rid of it, the companyis doing the right thing by spraying, lice can last up to 48 hours outside of its environment.

Mike is right...you can wash your hair twice a day and still get it.

EDIT: What they should do is shave everyone's head. That would be easier

You can get rid of it without shaving your head, but if theres an infestation at work then youll just get it again, chemists would stock lice shampoo and lice combs (very fine toothed), wash with that as per instructions then comb you hair with the comb thoroghly, do that over a few days and you should get and or kill off all the lice and eggs...

Yeah. But I have never had lice and that is like a little kid thing to have. It just makes me mad that I don't get it in Elementry school but I get it when I am an adult from an adult.

Whilst it is, no doubt, a strangley disgusting thing to have to think about, lice are harmless, in fact more likley to pick someone who is very clean rather than dirty and more than capable of living within hair undetected.

It has clearly shaken you, this news, but your response shows a great deal of ignorance on the issue.
Tiny little arachnids barely visible to the casual observer are hardly something to ring a bell and scream 'UNCLEAN' about whilst running around like medievil peasents baying for a witches blood.

Get over it. Everytime you shake a collegues hands you put yourself at significantly greater risk of 'dirty' ill health than you would meeting the poor person (who is undoubtedly being made to feel wrongly ashamed) who happens to have caught a very common, very harmless parasite linked to high standards of personal hygiene.

I just don't like the thought of something crawling around in my hair. Grosses me out. I don't know or care what you think about that but it makes me sick.

All you need is some simple shampoo... Lice went around in my elementry school.. my mom made me use this special shampoo every few days to make sure I didn't get it.. Lots of kids got it, but I didnt... I don't remember seeing anyone walking around with a shaved head.
