SATA connection what can be hookup?
 
i know Hard drives and DVD writer can be plug-in to the open connections on the MOB

but is there other things beside these thing, is there a whole world of goodies to use these connections

i have 3 open connection unuse at this time

i did not ask what is a SATA? i already know that, i was askng if there anything cool to buy that can connect to SATA.

like to buy something that is really cool that use SATA and asking other what they have gotting that use SATA & they think is really great item.

do you have anything that use SATA? that not a Hard drive or DVD-Writer? that use SATA connections

nothing else does apart from hard disks and optical drives, it says that in the link above that Jet posted if you care to read it.

Thanks Steve, it was why i posted it, if there was some cool stuff that would use SATA it would mention it. the wiki is on page 2 of a goole search for "SATA connection, what can be connected" page 1 was all about hard drives and optical problems. I posted a summary of it all.

Basicly "SATA replaces the IDE cable, is not a replacement for USB." if i said that i would be a smartass. instead i posted a summary of the 3/4 hour search i did to see if there was anything else that uses SATA connection.

man thats really sad to think its only limited to two things Hard Dives and optical drives only.

i would think other hardware MFG would made up some cool thing to use in them ports like a drive bay panel for sounds or something to use them SATA connections to plug-in to.

there is some new HD that are coming out that is (i understand) is like 700GB insize SATA

you can get 1TB drives for quite cheap now, 750 is not new :)
