better map uploading
 

how about faster map uploading.

when ever I submit a map it takes for ever to show in the map list.

I'm just woundering what makes uploading so long?

Each map has to be signed off by an admin to make sure that all the right files are there, in the right game and type etc and make sure there isnt any viruses or suspicious material. Depending on the backlog of maps this can take a while to sort through..

Along with what Mike said, faster map uploading will be coming this spring/summer.

how about faster map ratings too?

I have seen lots of maps going unrated and when I'm looking down the list looking for a good map to play I want to know what novaHQ thinks of it so it tells me there is somthing worth downloading in this map.

and I have seen lots of dave61's maps going unrated. :(

probably all the maps in the past 2 years are unrated if not more... :/

personally i dont have any of the games installed so i cant test them. on the other hand, noone who downloads the maps leaves a comment or rates the maps either.

hopefully a new game might get the community back in the spirit of things :)

Not at the moment because Novaworld decided to delete my account even tho i sended an email stating i was on active duty.. And since i cant find my booklets im stuck with DF2 only.. ( Old School copy, no serial needed )

We used to review maps... I used to sit all day Sat and Sun every week to review maps but no longer have the time. Everyone we tried to get to do it reviewed a few an bailed.. it takes alot of time to review maps.

well I'm a Home schooled 14-year old so I have some time on my hands. I have at least 3 hours every day. could I help you?

the only problem I see with me helping is how would I rate my own maps? the only reason I want ratings is so I know what I need to improove on so I can make my maps more enjoyable for other players. so there is no way I could rate my maps because I need to here what the players of the map think.

I have contact with the NW.Mods! If you wanted i could get incontact with one i know and see about finding the account. Even though its deleted they will still have it on the system.

how do i play the downloaded maps? can't seem to find instructions anywhere...sorry to be a nuisance...everyone's a newbie at some time....

just download the map and send all of the downloaded files to the game directory of the game the map is for. ;)

It HAS To Be reviewed by an Admin For Any Abusive Words Or
Somthing Else. It Normaly Gets Uploaded The Next Day, Or It Might Not BE Accepted But To Avoid This Just Dont Swear Lol
