Geforce 3

U can pick up a TI 200 (what i have, works great) at like best buy or something for around $100 now..

ty for the quick response. $100 dollars hmm that sound good thanks very much.

best GFX card to get right now is a GeForce 4 Ti4200

with the software you get with it it clocks to the same speed as Ti4600. but it is about 1/3 of the price. 64MB version has slightly faster RAM than the 128MB version.

it costs less then some geforce 3's and outperforms them. it also scales very well if you get a faster processor, this means you wont need a new gfx card for ages :)

If you want a really nice and really cheap card go for the radeon8500. It's past the GeForce3 TI 500 and is just getting better (everytime they releace new drivers). It's also a really cheap card.

I`m using a RAD8500dv (retail),,,,,took me a while to save up but don`t think I`ll need to upgrade for a while coz its AWESOME.
P.S. its worth the wait to see the difference :)

Dont get a radeon 8500
the radeon 9000 is coming out very very soon and improves on the 8500 cpapabilities AND apparantly is cheaper to make so you wont be spending anymore!!!!!!!
