Multi player problems

Can anyone help me. I've just dug out my original deltaforce game after a few years without playing and I´d like to know how to play online again. I've checked out Novaworlds site but I cant register as they wont accept my CD key for registration. Do I even need to join novaworld to join a deltaforce multiplyer game.

Sorry for wasting your time with such a simple problem but help me out

Novalogic released an update after Windows Vista was released. You will need to download it off of their website in order to play online.

You do not need to register the game online to play it,

Yah, no login needed, no registration.

You might need this, which is the NL .exe Patcher:

http://novalogic.com/download/nlexepatcher.html

What Nova did was relocate their servers which is why you need this patch.

You will only need this one patch for:

F-22 Raptor
Comanche Gold
F-16 Multirole Fighter
MiG-29 Fulcrum
F-22 IBS
Delta Force
F-22 Lightning 3
Armored Fist 3
Delta Force 2
Tachyon The Fringe
Delta Force Land Warrior

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your replies.

I take it that I have to rebuy the game to download it. Will that mean I can host my own private games on the nova world server to play with friends online. Is this the easiest way to host my own games or could I still host with my current disk version of DF1.

Cheers for you help

Rusty

OMG

as Chrispy said get the nlexepatcher.exe

look here ok
1.) Update the game normal as always
2.) nlexepatcher.exe is a server listing patch that Novalogic, inc release to fix their move of all their servers to new location, in the end all servers address (URL) have been change to new location and address. nlexepatcher.exe fix all older game they made that need to be fix

after you install the nlexepatcher.exe you should be able to play & Host the game without any trouble at all

*Q: I take it that I have to rebuy the game to download it.
A: Not if you save the CD or the Download already they are still good to use. now if you lost CD or deleted the download them totally then you have to buy it again

Ps never post your software or program Key-code in public to see

Dude, you don't have to re-buy the game. Just simply run the patcher. It's very convenient. None of that complicated stuff, just run it, it'll detect your DF1, patch it, you're set.

Cheers guys now we're getting somewhere but no cigars yet.

I downloaded the patch and now I´m connecting to the Novaworld server and I can see the list of Novaworld games, public and private games. But when I click on one of the games to join I just get a blank screen.

Please help me with the final push.

Cheers
Rusty

That blank screen thing happens to so many people. :/

Look, in simple terms, what you have to do is forward the ports for your modem, so that it accepts the connections for DF1.

If you can get into your config settings for your router, forward the ports 3568, 3569, or you could enable DMZ (but that puts you at risk, unless you have a trusty firewall).

Make sure the router and firewall allow DF1 to work.

Cheers lads for your help but I think I've hit a dead end for the moment. I'm currently running windows vista and as for forwarding ports I've got no idea how to do that. I've had a look around at different sites to find out how to do it and I'll keep you updated with my progress. If you know of any sites with give basic instructions for a novice like me then please let me know. Sorry to be a pain in the butt.
I have'nt given up yet and can´t wait to get back to the frontline.
Cheers
Rusty

For windows vista to run DF1 you have to set the Compatibility to Windows 98.

he's right you would need to set it to Compatibility to "Windows 98/ME"

right click-on DF1 shortcut see a listing down the bottom last item "Properties" you see a tab up top "Compatibilities" mod on this page you see "Run" click-on the Normal window to bring up a listing of windows System, you should see "Windows 98/Me" select this one and click-on Apply or OK thats it.

For forwarding ports you should ring your ISP, and they should be able to tell you, since forwarding ports is different for every kind of modem/router.

If you can, give 'em a ring and say you want to forward ports for a certain game that needs ports forwarded. If you can, tell them you need 3568 and 3569 ports forwarded, which are UDP.
