DF2 no cd patch 800x600 crash!

I have the no cd thing running. I can get online and play.. Dell Windows 7 64bit Nvidia card. Every time I try to run in higher res .. the game runs but it drops to just an icon on my taskbar and I get no visual.. I tried adjusting the cfg file to a higher number but it still does the same thing.. any takers?
