Post Rain :(

a 6th of the years rainfall in less than one day :/

never seen anything like it. I live in Sheffield which is one of the worst effeced areas, luckily i'm on the west so my house is ok. however the whole flooded area is my work patch, so having a nightmare on the roads, especially as the main motorway was shut today

yesterday it took me 4 hours to do a 1 hour journey. today it took me about 6 hours to travel 60 miles. absolutely nuts. not only that, i had to drive to Rotherham which is where there is a dam ready to burst, and when i got there they said they were too busy to shutdown the server so i just had to go home

one good thing came of it, Meadowhall: http://www.meadowhall.co.uk/website/ was flooded and is closed i hate that place and we have a lot of customers there.

Reminds me of when Hurricane Floyd hit North Carolina a few years back. It was bad Why didn't you go out and play in the mud?

i remember when i was kneehigh to a grasshopper it flooded here, had atleast 2-3ft deep in our front yard, we had those little blue pools and we used them as rafts and had a good time untill my sis found the snake, lol.

i got everything on my 4x4 setup fer it , got the vents on the axles and tranny run into the airbox and got an optinal snorkel attatchment fer it, ive had water so deep it was over the weels and about even with the hood at 1 time.

closed roads, i know all the little pig trails around here so i can go about 6 ways to any given destination, even if i have to offroad it.

when every1 else is paniking we are playing, what is the use of paniking? ya cant stop it and worrying will stall ya mind and make ya crazy, so make the best of it.

but if ya gona play just be careful and beware of currents and the dumb neghbor and his generator run electric fence, lol.

ovcorse what is really fun to watch is when all the power is out and the people next to ya hve their generator plugged into the utility box and dont dissconnect the main breaker, the power come back on and blows the generator up.

I complain about the rain, but never had it that bad! We did have floodings once but it never reached above the sandbags. But we had the winds on our side, they never changed, if they did our whole town would of been flooded heh

So we've been lucky here, only been close once and that time the winds ware on our side
